New concept to increase the sales of paperback books
September 24, 2010
PRESS RELEASE 2010-09-22 Tomorrow Pocketstället, the market leading supplier of paperback books to the retail sector, launches a new graphical profile and a new communication concept. The book stands, that can be found in retail stores of all sizes, have been re-designed with the purpose of making it easier for the consumers to find the books. The interest in paperback books in the retail sector is big and during the first eight months of 2010 Pocketstället has sold 1.3 million copies.
- Through our new concept we want to make the books even more visible in the stores and make it easier for the consumers to find the right book. We offer bestselling books and the more available they are, the more copies will be sold, says Isabel Rodrigo, Director of Marketing, Pocketstället.
The new Pocketstället concept will be shown through a new graphical profile, development of the website and a new design of the book stands. The communication will be more directly aimed at the consumer with the paperback books being more visible than before. The "Paperback book of the Month" will also be more promoted.
Pocketstället differs from other paperback book suppliers through their independence from publishers and through their way of hand picking the books based on the consumers' interests, meaning that they are offered exactly the books they want to read.
- We offer bestsellers and also make regional adjustments based on what is most popular in different parts of the country. This development of our consumer communication convinces us that even more people will be inspired to buy books in our present and future customers' stores, says Isabel Rodrigo.
Pocketstället, founded in 1998 and present all over the country, was the first supplier of a total service solution for paperback books in the retail sector. The new concept will start appearing in stores from week 40, and will be combined with marketing activities. Pocketstället can be found in 2 600 stores and has agreements with Coop, ICA, Pressbyrån, Willys, Willys Hemma, Hemköp, Tempo, 7-Eleven, EKO, City Gross and Netto.
Launch of the concept is 23/9. Pictures of new graphical profile and book stalls, free to publish, can be found here: www.pocketstallet.se
