Brand Factory acquires Printley and strengthens its position as Nordic market leader

Brand Factory Group, with the private equity fund Scope Growth II L.P. as one of its major shareholders, has signed an agreement to acquire Printley. Printley is one of Sweden’s largest printing houses combining offset, screen and digital printing and is also the largest producer of large sized printing products in Scandinavia. The company has annual revenues of approximately SEK 200 million and employs c. 90 people. The sellers are the four entrepreneurs, i.e. Lars Kjellberg, Peter Kleis, Peter Lagerstedt and Erik Stålbo who will all continue to be active within the company and will together represent c. 10% of the ownership in the combined group.

 

Printley provides printed information carriers to retail chains, billboards for outdoor use, traffic advertisements and brochures to Sweden's leading retail and consumer companies. Key customers include some of the largest Swedish retail fashion companies such as H&M, Lindex, Gant, Nilson Group and RNB.

Brand Factory Group was founded in 2003 and has since developed into the Nordic region's leading company within its industry. The acquisition of Printley, which is partly financed by the private equity fund Scope Growth II L.P., further strengthens this position.

Following the acquisition of Printley, Brand Factory will have c. 290 employees and annual revenues of c. SEK 600 million. Brand Factory's main owners are the private equity fund Scope Growth II L.P., the Melanen family and key employees within the group.
